About these terms
PlaceNest is an Australian property platform for rentals, house sharing, lease transfers, parking and local property services, operated by Md Mominul Islam (ABN 60 139 980 806) ("PlaceNest", "we", "us"). These terms apply to everyone who creates an account or uses PlaceNest while signed in. They take effect on 20 October 2026.
Before you use PlaceNest while signed in we ask you to accept these terms and to confirm your age. We record which version you accepted and when. The Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
Who can use PlaceNest
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use PlaceNest while signed in, and able to enter into a binding agreement. If you use PlaceNest for a business or agency, you confirm you are authorised to act for it.
Your account
- Keep your sign-in details and any second factor secure, and do not share your account.
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Tell us promptly if you think someone else has used your account.
- You are responsible for what is done through your account unless it was caused by our failure.
Using PlaceNest properly
You must not use PlaceNest to:
- publish anything false or misleading, including listings for properties or spaces you are not entitled to offer;
- discriminate unlawfully against anyone, or harass, threaten or abuse other members;
- collect other members' personal information for any purpose other than the enquiry, application or arrangement it was shared for;
- send spam or unsolicited advertising, or try to move payments or deposits outside lawful arrangements to deceive someone;
- interfere with the service, test its security without our written permission, or access it by automated means other than ordinary web browsing.
Listings, requirements and other content you publish
You keep ownership of the content you publish. You allow PlaceNest to store, display and adapt it (for example to resize photos) for the purpose of running the service. You confirm you have the right to publish it, including photos of people or property.
Listings must describe the property or space accurately and comply with the laws that apply to advertising it. We may remove or hide content that breaks these terms or the law.
Enquiries, applications and arrangements between members
PlaceNest helps members find each other and exchange information. Unless we say otherwise, PlaceNest is not a party to any tenancy, sharing, lease-transfer, parking or service arrangement made between members, and does not act as anyone's agent. Decisions about applications are made by the people who review them.
PlaceNest does not check every listing, member or document. Make your own enquiries before you rely on information, inspect a property, pay money or sign anything.
Local property services
Service providers listed on PlaceNest are independent businesses. Any agreement for a service is between you and the provider.
Features that are not available yet
Paid plans and payments, tenancy documents and lease signing, identity verification and connections to other property systems are not available yet. These terms will be updated before any of them is switched on.
Moderation, suspension and closing your account
We may review reports, remove content, and restrict or suspend an account that breaks these terms or the law, or where needed to protect other members. Where it is safe to do so we will tell you why. You can ask us to close your account at any time by contacting support@placenest.com.au.
Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded. PlaceNest is currently provided free of charge. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for arrangements made between members or for information members publish, but we remain responsible for our own failures to provide the service with due care and skill.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will give at least 14 days notice of a material change by e-mail or in PlaceNest, and ask you to accept the new version before you continue using PlaceNest while signed in.
Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the law of the Australian Capital Territory. Disputes about them may be decided by the courts of the Australian Capital Territory or any other Australian court that has jurisdiction.
