How to advertise a parking space, what renters see, and how enquiries work. Parking uses enquiries and messages, not applications.

Create a parking advertisement

Outcome: You and the other person arrange everything in Messages.

Sign in and choose "List a Parking Space". You need a saved profile with a display name to start, and private contact details on your profile before you publish.

  1. Enter the parking details: type of space, the largest vehicle it fits, price per week or per month, and the date it is available.
  2. Add the address. It must be inside the area PlaceNest serves: PlaceNest operates across Australia — every state and territory.
  3. Answer "Who is advertising?" and the privacy questions.
  4. Select "Save and continue to photos". Photos help, but are optional.
  5. Publish the advertisement.

Type of space and vehicle size

Type of space
Lock-up garage, carport, driveway, undercover parking bay or outdoor parking bay.
Largest vehicle it fits
Motorbike, small car, standard car, or large vehicle (SUV, ute, van).
Features
You can mention things like secure access or EV charging.

Keep the description about the space. Share access instructions in messages. Do not put phone numbers, e-mail addresses or links in the description.

Who is advertising

Choose one: "Owner of the parking space", "Agent / property manager" or "Tenant with use of the space". Your answer is shown on the advertisement.

Important: Your role is shown as stated by the advertiser; not verified by PlaceNest. PlaceNest does not verify ownership, agency or authority.

Privacy and location

  • Logged-out visitors see only the suburb and an approximate location. They never see the exact address or your direct contact details.
  • Three separate questions decide what signed-in members can see: the exact street address, your direct contact details, and your name. Each one defaults to No.
  • The map shows an approximate location, not the exact address.

Enquiries and messages

People interested in your space select "Send enquiry" on the advertisement. They must be signed in. The enquiry starts a conversation between you and them in Messages.

Good to know: Parking has no application process. You arrange everything with the other person through messages.

Marking your space rented

Available
The advertisement is live and appears in Parking search.
Rented
Use "Mark as rented" when you have found someone. The advertisement is removed from Parking search at once and shows as recently rented for a short time. Use "Mark as available" to show it again.
Withdrawn
Withdrawing hides the advertisement from everyone. You can relist it later.

Advertisements stay live for 42 days unless you renew them. Manage all of this from the parking advertisement's manage page, reached from My listings.

Important: PlaceNest does not collect payment for parking and is not a party to your arrangement.
